About Corey Blue, Portland Massage Therapist
One of my earliest memories is giving my father shoulder rubs after long days of work. Something that simple brought him real relief, and that stuck with me. I've spent my working life on the body ever since.
From Training Bodies to Working on Them
For more than 15 years I've been a personal trainer. I'm a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and co-owner and coach at PDX Fitness Zone, a community gym in SE Portland. Coaching taught me how bodies move, where they hold tension, and how different every body is. Massage was the natural next step. In summer 2024 I earned my Oregon massage license, LMT #28443, and opened Blue Renew Massage Therapy: one person, one room, at 2442 SE 101st Ave, Suite 308 in East Portland. The name says what I'm going for. Renewal, not luxury.
How I Work
Healing doesn't have to be complicated, it just has to be honest, intentional, and rooted in care. In practice that means a few things. I offer Swedish massage and deep pressure massage, usually blended with stretching, and I'm plain about what I don't offer; deep tissue is its own trained modality, and I'd rather tell you that than sell you a label. I make no medical claims; massage here is for relaxation, easing tense muscles, and helping you feel better in your body, alongside whatever care your providers lead. And I enjoy helping people feel better and relax. I want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome when they come into the room and lay down on the table. I'm comfortable working on any type of body.
