Sports and Recovery Massage in Portland

Firm pressure plus stretching for active bodies. I'm Corey Blue, LMT #28443, and before massage I spent 15+ years as a personal trainer; I'm a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer and I still coach. At Blue Renew Massage Therapy, this session is for training soreness, tight hips and shoulders, and recovery weeks.

Straight up: sports massage certification is its own training path, and not one I hold. What I bring is firm, adjustable pressure, stretching, and a coach's working knowledge of how bodies move and where they hold tension.

Who Books This Session

Gym-goers between training blocks. Runners with calves that have stopped negotiating. Anyone whose warm-ups keep finding the same tight spots. And people in recovery periods who want to feel less stiff and guarded; I adapt pressure and positioning to where you are, and massage here supports the comfort and mobility side of recovery while your medical providers lead on anything clinical.

What a Session Is Like

We talk through what you've been training, what's sore, and what's tight. Then the session blends firm pressure on the muscles doing the most work with stretching to help things move again. Pressure adjusts in real time, and I check in as we go.
